Halewood Town Council has agreed to use its own funds to repair Hollies Playground after an insurance claim for the damages was denied.

The insurers have denied the claim for the repairs to Hollies Playground. As a result, and in order to have the playground open as quickly as possible, councillors unanimously agreed at a Town Council meeting on 15th October to use Council funds to make the area safe and free from hazards.
Contractors have been appointed and are scheduled to start work within the next few weeks. The repairs are expected to cost in the region of £19,000.
Further updates will be provided once firm timescales are established. The council thanked the public for their patience during the closure.
