Corrections policy

At The North West Mercury we want what we publish to be accurate. If you spot an error, we would be grateful if you let us know.

1. How to report an error

Write to us at info@northwestmercury.co.uk, stating:

• The link to the article.
• The fact or sentence you consider incorrect.
• If you have it, the source or document that supports this.

2. What we do

We review the reports we receive and, if we confirm the error, we correct the article as soon as possible.

If a piece of information concerns you, or you hold the rights to a published text or image, and you would prefer us to remove it, please write to us as well and we will consider your request.

3. Right of rectification

If a published piece of information concerns you and you believe it is inaccurate, you may exercise the right of rectification or reply granted to you by the applicable legislation by sending your written request to info@northwestmercury.co.uk.
