Chorley will come together on Sunday, 8 November, for its annual Remembrance Day parade and service, with residents encouraged to line the route and attend the ceremony at the Cenotaph.

The day's events will commence with the parade forming up on Mealhouse Lane at 10:25am. The parade will then set off at 10:35am, turning left into Park Road and then left into Astley Park, heading towards the Cenotaph.
The Service of Remembrance is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:45am at the Cenotaph. This will be followed by the traditional two minutes' silence at 11:00am, after which wreaths will be laid.
Following the service, the parade will depart the Cenotaph around 11:15am, making its way back to the Town Hall via Park Road, Union Street, Cleveland Street, High Street, and Market Street.
Important information regarding parking and access has been issued. Due to ongoing works at the Town Hall, participating uniformed groups will assemble in Farrington Street car park and form up on Mealhouse Lane, rather than St Thomas's Square.
For safety reasons, vehicle access will be restricted to Farrington Street, Farrington Street car park, Mealhouse Lane, and Back Mount car park. Attendees are advised to use alternative town centre car parks and allow extra time for their journeys.
Chorley Borough Council expressed its thanks to the community for helping to ensure the event can take place safely.
