Amy Bent, a Year 13 student, is set to make her professional debut in the Oldham Coliseum's production of Macbeth. She will portray two characters: a witch and a murderer. The show is scheduled to run from 23 October to 7 November 2026 at Liquid & Envy, Oldham.
Currently studying A Levels in Drama & Theatre Arts, Film Studies, and Fine Art, Amy was also part of last year's college production, Lights Across the Hudson, and recently secured a lead role in this year's production of Coven. Her acting journey began three years ago after participating in a Coop Academies Trust Production during secondary school. She also dedicates time to teaching drama in local schools to inspire younger children and has been selected as an ambassador for Oldham's year as Greater Manchester’s Town of Culture.
Looking ahead, Amy hopes to pursue a career in the creative industries or attend drama school after completing her A Levels. She plans to take a gap year to seek representation, continue working with Oldham Theatre Workshop, teach drama, and collaborate on film projects with emerging production company Hall Productions as a Director and Producer.
