The Wyre Business Awards 2026 have announced their finalists, celebrating the businesses, organisations, and individuals driving Wyre's economic growth. Organised by Wyre Council's Economic Development Team with headline sponsor Balfour Beatty, the awards highlight excellence, innovation, growth, and community impact across the borough.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday 10 November at Marine Hall, Fleetwood. The event promises a comprehensive celebration, including food from Twelve, live entertainment by comedian Alun Cochrane, professional photography, and networking opportunities, positioning it as Wyre's premier annual business gathering.
The awards aim to bring together businesses from across Wyre to celebrate success, foster relationships, and explore future opportunities. This year's finalists span various categories including Growth Business of the Year, Health, Beauty and Wellbeing Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Pride in Place Award, Community Champion Business of the Year, Social Enterprise of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Climate Action Award, Farming and Countryside Award, Micro Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Social Media Award, and Team of the Year.
Councillor Peter Le Marinel, Portfolio Holder for Planning Policy and Economic Development for Wyre Council, commented on the event's evolution: "The Wyre Business Awards has evolved into so much more than an awards ceremony. It is the biggest gathering of businesses in the borough each year and a chance to celebrate everything that makes Wyre such a fantastic place to live, work and invest. Whether you're shortlisted or simply want to enjoy a great night out with colleagues, clients and fellow businesses, we'd love to see you there."
Tickets are now available for purchase, offering guests a welcome drinks reception, a three-course meal from Twelve, comedy from Alun Cochrane, and extensive networking opportunities. The event encourages participation beyond just finalists, emphasising its role in forging new partnerships and supporting future business growth.
