Cheshire West Crowd is celebrating its fifth anniversary, encouraging local groups, charities, and organisations to submit their community-focused ideas for funding.

Community groups, charities, and local organisations are invited to put forward their ideas as Cheshire West Crowd marks five years of supporting local initiatives. Since its inception in autumn 2021, the platform has assisted community-led projects in securing funding, attracting supporters, and delivering sustained benefits to residents across the borough.
To commemorate this milestone, the deadline for new projects to enter the current funding round has been extended to 18 November. This extension provides more organisations with an opportunity to participate. Cheshire West Crowd supports a wide range of projects, from creating greener neighbourhoods and enhancing health and wellbeing to improving community spaces and fostering connections through sport, culture, and the arts.
The crowdfunding platform allows project creators to raise funds from the public while also accessing match funding opportunities, thereby helping projects achieve their objectives and maximise their impact. Over the past five years, projects supported by Cheshire West Crowd have highlighted the effectiveness of community action, uniting local people behind ideas that create tangible improvements in their areas.
Support is available for groups that may not have prior crowdfunding experience, with assistance provided throughout the process. The Council is actively encouraging community groups, charities, voluntary organisations, and residents with community-focused ideas to explore the platform and consider launching a project before the upcoming deadline.
